48 8N Gears Grinding When Clutch Isn't Pushed In

Morning everyone,

I was grading the driveway yesterday and my gears starting making an awful grinding noise when I stopped. I can't seem to figure out what's going on. I was in first gear and about half throttle using draft control. The only time it stops is when I push the clutch in. As soon as I let out the clutch it starts to grind again. Does it in neutral and all gears when clutch isn't in. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I'm kind of leaning towards transmission being stuck in multiple gears or PTO issues. Thanks all!

Note: I don't have the Sherman tranny.

If it was stuck in two gears it wouldn't move when you let out the clutch. Have you checked the PTO lever? What happens when you disengage the PTO?
Other than that it must be something that's gone wrong in the shift gates. You may have to pull the top cover and have a look.

Thanks Jim,

I went out and checked the PTO engagement lever and I must have bumped it. It was only half engaged. I feel stupid :D Appreciate the help and glad it wasn't something major!
