N tractor seat and spring

Been looking for over a year for a seat to replace the one on
my 2N, a previous owner had put a Farmall seat and spring on
it and it looks and rides like crap, no salvage yards in my area
and didn?t want a reproduction seat, just bought this one off of
eBay , think I done alright on the deal...

You done good! Originals are always better. Can't beat the price either -$50 with shipping is a bargain. Parts then were made Ford Tough -seat spring was tempered spring steel. Todays aftermarket junk is recycled Pabst cans. The flip-up style Ford Tractor pan seat was not introduced until the 8N model, in July, 1947. The 9N and 2N seats were stationary, non-movable. Many farmers swapped out seats to help operate better. Farmers would like to stand up while working in the fields all day and the flip-up seat allowed more room.
