Decided to give them a try. About as easy as it gets - bought the tires and rims on Thursday and the truck driver dropped them in front of the shop doors on Wednesday. I am happy.

Looks good.

Never bought from Tucker Tire but have also never heard of any complaints.

Did you buy the tires online, or did you call your order in. I found what I need at their eBay store, but it also has three rib front tires that I don't need.

That's a good price. Wouldn't the 12 ply tires be hard to get off the rims if you have to repair it.

Perhaps.

Unlike myself, most folks do not repair their own tires.

Tractor tires are not difficult to repair if not too small or not too large and one has the proper tools.

For 30+ years I have repaired my own tractor tires without significant incidents. Accordingly, I have always bought new tractors without liquid ballast because I have no means for R & Ring such ballast.

Today, however, I bought a new small Kubota and specified liquid ballast in the rear tires (first time), because I determined that I could not dismount/mount the small R4 tires on this model with the tools (and age) that I have.

Times change.

Where were these tires made? About twenty five years ago I bought a set of 12.4x28 that were built in Mexico, using the old Goodrich molds. I bought them because of the price. They seemed to be well built tires.

(quoted from post at 21:31:14 04/18/18) Do those rims have the "roundish" loops?
They are six loop not hat rims if that is your question. The loops are visible in the picture.

Sorry, I didn't ask my question very well - I was typing from my phone last night.
When I first looked at the photo, I thought the loops looked like the ones on the old Ferguson-type rims that used the special bolts. Now I see that they are the regular "square" loops that use carriage bolts. (I also checked Tucker Tire's website.)
The rims that use the Ferguson bolts are hard to find.

The set I got a couple years ago from Tucker were also made in India. Since I live on the West coast I had to pay some for shipping but still a good deal. No problems with the tires and I expect they will outlast me.
