(quoted from post at 21:02:03 02/27/17) They say I have to wait 30-45 days before I can paint or seal it.

A concrete shop floor is almost better than s*x

If you opt to paint it be prepared to repaint on a regular basis. With hard use even the high dollar epoxy coatings wear off and do so relatively quickly. I've found that unpainted and unsealed even the worst oil spills clean up fine and in the end look no worse than raggedy paint ;-)

At my age (83)concrete floors are better than ..., more ways than one. LOL By the way, sealed concrete won't survive under carb cleaner, brake cleaner, etc

I will never seal a shop floor. Mine stays clean with a little dust sprinkled on any spills. My son sealed his and it was a butt buster for a few months till the seal started wearing off. If you are going to only roll rubber tired vehicles on it it might hold up. Otherwise forget it.
My Dad put epoxy on some porches about 50 years ago and anytime the humidity was up, BAM, you busted your butt.

A concrete floor makes it so much nicer in a shop or machine shed. It is money well spent. A saw kerf cut every 10 feet or so will control the cracks from shrinking or freeze under it if not heated.

Is that an oval or split window in the back corner (or are my eyes hoping for a prize that doesn't exist)? My oldest is a '67 currently.
