MM U fuel strainer

So this fall I had my restored U on the grain auger, and it worked perfectly until last night. Of course it was in a remote location, and I had to fill it with a can in the dark, never a good combination. Anyway, the fuel strainer plugged, and it appears to be a unique tiny brass filter that threads into the strainer. It does not respond to cleaning, at least so far. Are new ones available, or is there something better that could be threaded in? Or put on an inline filter? Any help is appreciated.

I think the strainer said Zenith on it???

Those usually clean up pretty good. Would by any chance have something in your tank blocking the fuel flow? I have had that happen when filling from cans.

very possible, but when I remove the strainer, I get great flow. I'll play with it more in daylight. Where is a
good place to source a gasket for the glass bowl?

Thanks.

Would anyone happen to know the part number for the gasket, or be able to direct me to an online parts catalog? I'm new to searching for moline parts.

When that strainer is screwed in tight the small discs are compressed and make for a very good strainer. When you take it out the discs are loose (they may be stuck together from gummy fuel). All you need to do is take a blow gun and run it up and down the strainer. Gaskets still available from Agco.
