Picked this up from an online auction today. Was listed as stuck but was loose when I loaded it. Got home added gas, battery and filed points and drove it off the trailer, pretty happy! Looks like the tags were removed for painting or?? And were in the tool box, are the serial numbers stamped somewhere to verify what I have? rTU 421551 on tag. Thanks, Mike

RTU indicates R Tractor narrow dual front tires. That would be a RTN if the single front tire is original.
 
your RTU is a late 1947, they did not separate the serial numbers for RTE, RTU, RTN until 1948 so yours can be a single front from the factory. 1947 R numbers are 416545-422057 Engine numbers are 416729-422256 for 1947
 
Do you think this tractor has the long rear axles? Is there a measurement I can check? Does not really matter a whole lot I just found it odd that the tags were removed from the tractor. Thanks, Mike
 
Thanks John, both numbers I have fit the late ‘47 range that you provided so I think I will consider it a 1947, that is how it was advertised also. I think I will try to find a set of lights for it to have it complete and be happy, thanks again, Mike
