Za Hydraulics Removal

Getting ready to paint great grandpa s Za. I m thinking about removing the hydraulics, I never use them and there s a few leaks. I know it s my tractor and I can do whatever I want, but what would you do? I like the clean look without hoses, lines, pump, cultivator lift and reservoir. Am I making a mistake?

I?d personally leave it. It was your grandpa?s tractor and that is part of your grandpa?s signature on that tractor. I bought a MM ZA 20 years ago at Mike?s retirements auction sale. I left it pretty much as it was when I
bought it. There were a few extras gadgets, holders, holes, etc. A year ago, a man walked up to me and said that was uncles Mike?s tractor. I asked him how he knew? He said he had spent many summers on that
tractor and recognized Mike?s additions.

My $2.00. Inflation you know.......

My UB has aftermarket (Char-Lynn) hydraulics which my Dad had put on after he bought the tractor. I left them on because the control valve set up was one of a kind--as mentioned above, kind of his signature. He also had John Deere wheel weights on it. I left those too, since that was the way he had it, and they had already been on there for nearly 60 years.

I too like to look at tractors with there personal add ons. At the same time I know that that everyone one don't have the same priorities, but still like to see them. I really like to see the ones that have the original paint with the add ons.

I know about that tractor! Drove it just last summer or was it in 2018? Time is flying faster than I am! Thanks for the ride, Rich.
