Anyone know difference between rear hood panels/hood on a U302 as compare to
super? Parts books show different #'s.
 
Not sure on the right side but the left side the early one has the catch for the latch welded on and the super has a slot that the latch goes into. They use a different latch. The early one is adjustable and the super uses a spring type.
 
Have a 1965 and a real early 67. Both have the same latches and side panel fits as it should. Must be a serial number break I missed in parts books.
 
I'm not sure latch type is the only difference & I don't have a super to check them side by side. I assume yours have the adjustable latches (threaded with hook on the end) & not the spring type. I just looked at the AGCO parts books & they call for the same latch on both the early and late hoods so I am confused. The split between the two is at serial number 27601300. I just assumed that the change in type of latch happened when they eliminated the low band and went to the Supers. Are both of yours low band?
 
Only 65 is low band. Other is a Super standard. I know front panels different for low band.
 
Not sure what you are talking about when you refer to a "spring type latch". My U-302 Super is serial number 36100005 built on 9/24/69 and it has the welded on adjustable latches.
 
Only difference in panels that I have found is non super has crease on top. Hoods are same except Super has holes for nameplates. Front panels same except for slots for band.
