I have a UTSD-M project tractor that I need to do something with. I mean I either need to rebuild the engine or sell it as is. I have a pair of cylinder blocks bored to fit the larger piston and would end up with a 336 CID engine (original would be 283 CID). I have the pistons and rods, cylinder blocks, all the add on hardware to make it factory power steering. It has the original injector pump, needs rebuilt. Has anyone had success with a replacement/different style injector pump? Pass your thoughts or interests to me.

No other pump will work unless you want to change a pile of parts.Inline pump has 17 other components to make it work.

Hello MolineGB, Yup, I am aware that these diesel M-M tractors were all destined for Turkey and didn't come with PS. (I do not think any of this lot of tractors ever made it over there to Turkey). I understand that most of them ended up in Canada or the upper great plains area here in the US. Does your tractor have the belt pulley? Have you run your tractor? I located the PS set-up because I had designs to update it a bit with correct M-M parts and make it a bit nicer to play with and use on the farm. Plus, being built as a 336, would even be better!

None made it to Turkey. All my other U diesel have belt pulley but M doesn't even have drive. My motor was rebuilt few years ago. GV1 or Massey 95 s parts could be adapted for PS. Inline is a good pump and not too costly to rebuild. Also used on some UBD specials, 5 Stars as well as U. Think I have 5.
 
Hello GB, Could you give me the short version on adapting the Inline injector pump onto the UTSD? If you have a spare pump I would be interested in one.

No spare pump. Just get original rebuilt. Whole drive setup on pump different.Would need pump and donor for setup.
