evening all, Erick got the new draw bar brackets built and brought them over today, installed them and all the other draw bar pieces to test fit, looks perfect. took everything off, gound off all the square sharp corners nice and round (so I don't slice my head or arms open when i'm crawling under the tractor) Erick beefed them up around the bolt holes, added another plate, made the whole bracket of wider material so the bolt holes aren't tight to the edge. here's some pics.

(quoted from post at 21:54:33 04/12/18) Looks good. Also good looking welds.
ou got it shinnery, Erick is a master at working metal and welding, I love watching and working with him, taking a bent twisted bucket or a piece off some equipment, trailers etc. making a cut here to relieve the stress, heating over there to shrink the metal back to form, using thick plates, chains and hydraulic jacks, and before you know it it's back looking like new.

(quoted from post at 01:27:19 04/17/18) I like it Carvel!
Just one advice, it might be better to put all your pictures and progress about your M5 restoration in only one topic. Then we can see all the progress done on it going trough the many pages.
Similar to this (not mine, but pretty neat 8there are 4 pages)

good morning fdt, I have been thinking the same thing, I will put all these pics and future ones under the progress on the m5 restoration topic, moving pics from others to it. may take me some time! john.
