Thought I would share a pic of the U-s Plowing and say "Thank You" to all that have helped both here and in the neighborhood to get these Boys raised from the dead.
My father and uncle set up a G JD and a U pulling 5-16" and was in use up till 1965 when dad bought a new 930 Case. Dad traded the G in on the 930 but kept the U. I spent MANY days standing on that U Spraying Corn, Rotary hoeing corn and beans and hauling in ear corn and unloading in at the Cribs.
Having not been old enough to operate his combination, its always been my interest on how it worked. I also wanted to find a U like I cut my teeth on for "old times sake" so I started my quest last winter with the UB LP, then found the U like dads a few months later, I had already owned the 4-14" Case plow so it was a matter of getting tractors running and the hitch made. The only thing left to do is add power steering to the UB as I use it year round to grind feed.
Thank You to.
