Interesting photo found on the 'net...

No sign of planters (drills) planting wheat. Looks like they are pulling One-ways (one way disk plows) but hard to see what they have accomplished.
 
That looks like one rough ride to me. I don't know of anything that could have made piles like that as far as the eye can see. Maybe that was the beginning of the dirty thirties. It started right on this photo.
 
Looks like they're moving til you see the guy standing in front of the wheel of #2 tractor. I HOPE they weren't moving!
 

After the nightmare of whipping some somewhat similar CRP ground into shape with a big Versatile tractor, super heavy Krause disc, and big moldboard, I can't imagine starting off against original sod with those small one-ways!

And I've also plowed a lot of wheat ground with one-ways over the years, too!

Sure an awful lot of blood, sweat and tears over the years into the efforts to tame this country!!
