Minor setback

Had a minor setback on my U restoration. Finanly got the replacement radiator attached and poured antifreeze in. The antifreeze beat me to the floor.
Don't know where the leak is but loaded two radiators up and drove 55 miles to a radiator shop.
Thought things were going to well. Merry Christmas to all.

It happens at times. A couple years ago I had gotten my repaired radiator back in my G950 and immediately noticed a couple of drips on the bottoms of the tubes and where the tank is soldered on, so back off it went. Ended up getting a new core, which was a little over $600. I figured if I was going to use it for any "real" work I didn't want it running warm. Merry Christmas to you.

Hardly a more anxious moment than the first pour into a radiator. I put a new water pump seal, thermostat and gaskets in my GB. I had to remove the radiator to repair the pump. Put it all back together. Last night I dumped in the first water. I have dripping, not serious, somewhere around the 22 bolts that hold the core to the bottom tank. Very disheartening but to be expected.

Sounds like the factory who is building the repops didn't pressure test it. I would be asking for some compensation $$$ back for the inconvenience.
