Greetings everyone,
After searching the internet high and low for a Front Axle Knee for this MF 275 I am coming up empty handed. SO I figured I would join this forum with hopes someone could shed some light on my situation. This tractor is a 1975 U.S. MF 275 and a very tall one at that. The right front axle knee is bent so another one is in order. The problem is the only two I can find available is the axle knee for the standard 275 and the row crop. The tube on the axle knee (where the spindle slides up through) for the standard model is like 8 inches, the row crop is 10.3". This tractor we have here measures 14.250" exactly and I can find no mention anywhere on the net of such an axle knee. Any help is greatly appreciated.

In looking at the AGCO Massey Ferguson parts catalogs on line they show three options lo profile, standard, and row crop. Checking spindle vertical shaft lengths (spindle measurements are found on some after market parts sites) for those it looks like the 8" knee is the low profile and the 10.3" one would be the standard. Yours sounds like the row crop, which is the longest vertical spindle shaft shown with a length of 14.875" or 15.875" depending on the axle. There is a serial number break and two different axles were used. The longer spindle was on the earlier axles, prior to tractor serial number 9A324137 and would look like it would match best to you 14.250" knee length. What is your serial number? What is the length of the vertical shaft of the spindle? Have you tried calling a MF/AGCO dealer? This may be one of those things making phone calls will get you ahead faster than just looking on the net.

Jim,
Thank you so much for the informative reply. The serial # for this tractor is 9A224597. I haven't tried calling AGCO yet but I
will in the morning. I've always bought parts for these old tractors online. My mistake in this instance. Thank you for the break down on the models
too. As the aftermarket supply houses just listed the standard and the row crop, but the row crop axle knee they list would be for
the standard. Confusing. So, I indeed have a Row Crop model here. Again, thank you for your time.

This... I went through this on another make with a broken part. One call to experienced parts man and in 2 minutes I had the correct part on the way, an more importantly I learned that the part had been improved over the years and I really wanted the new version, not the original one, something I wouldn't of known as easily just shopping online.
