Hello I am pulling the Perkins out of my 510. How many bolts are on the flywheel end of the engine I see 4 above the cylinder to the front right , on the back I see a brace that runs to the main cross shaft is that it or am I missing some? Thanks Bryan

I can't help you with the removal but are you keeping the rest of the combine? I'm looking for an instrument panel or some gauges from one.

I am parting it out I am putting the engine in a oliver 1850 that I bought with a bad engine. It was not really what I wanted to do but I bought a 850 this last fall to replace it , I am the 2nd owner, this combine was bought new in the mid 70's for use on a 160 acre farm 40 acres of oats per year and was used to open up the corn fields for picking, a few years he rented some land and had beans ,In the late 70's early 80's when interest went high he gave up the bean ground ( I needed a combine for beans )the bean head had been used on less then 300 acres when I bought it, It never sat outside over night till I bought it ( wouldn't fit in my shed ) till I built one , the paint looked like new but the back was smashed in and some of the corn head tin was bent , I asked, he replied red faced and said in his younger days he had a drinking problem , Email me it is open . Thanks Bryan

I'm familiar withe the 850 engine removal if that is similar. After the 4 bolts are removed on out put drive, engine needs to be slid away to disconnect the splined drive shaft about 4 inches. Sometimes splines bind and sometimes not.

I would be interested in seeing a picture of the instrument panel if you have any of it. I cant seem to find your email listed. I have my email open. If you send me a reply I can reply back to you. Thank you.
