MH 101 Junior Differential cover

Anyone know what the shaft and opposite pedal is for on the diff. cover on a '46 101 Junior? Looks to be a drive for an early 3-point.
I can get a pic but its raining cats and maybe canines right now.

All depends on how much weight you want to lift, a grader blade should lift fine. A round hay bale would probably be too much. Also be aware when the foot pedal is tripped the crank makes a half turn, then stops. Pressed again, another half turn. Holding the pedal down crank will keep turning. I'd also MAKE SURE the crank guard is in place for safety reasons. Also be aware the PTO must be in gear and clutch pedal up for the lift to work. You MIGHT want to use lift chains so the blade can float since the crank only works in half turns.

Thanks, folks. The tractor is almost mine. But it's going to need a radiator and a clutch/drive shaft. I think the pilot bearing was out for a good long time and then the splines wore out in both the clutch disc and on the drive shaft. Might have the case full of rain water too - that's where I look next for a reason not to pay $500. Seems to have an OK Cont. 162 and all the tin, decent tires but is a row crop. I want a wide front for putting a loader on it.

If the engine is not shimmed correctly at the front that WILL take out the clutch disc and could ruin the splines too. The chain coupler MUST be even at top and bottom, if the two gears are not even the front engine support is raised/lowered as needed so gears are aligned.

There's a very good chance that is what happened, since the fan also took out the bottom of the radiator at some time in the past.

Anyone know how to pull the Implement Lift off the differential on my '46 MH 101 Jr.? All the bolts are removed, the lift cover moves back and forth about an inch, and raises up maybe 1/4" but will not come off. Is in hindered inside by something that has to be removed also? Or needs to be in a certain position of its cycle? I have a manual coming, but this may not even be covered there, and I'm getting antsy to see if the 4 gallons of water I drained out had any bad effects on the differential. Or should I just be patient and wait for the manual?

I solved this one! The PTO shaft runs through the center of the lift worm gear, and has to be removed out the back of the tractor before the implement lift cover will come up. The manual was absolutely NO help. Its cleaned up now and ready to be reassembled.
