I have MF 231S with FEL. The splines on hydraulic pump shaft that operate the FEL stripped out. Pump is located in front of tractor as noted in picture. Have anyone have this problem if so what is the process of fixing this issue or modifying it. I know that the coupler part number is 190496M3 but it is hard to find.

Have you asked an AGCO/MF dealer? From the MF parts books it appears the coupler is only sold, already welded onto the shaft. Likely that is so it is assembled and runs true. The shaft is in the loader parts so you need the loader model and shaft length to get the right one. Any number stamped in your shaft?

I think some early Case 480 and 580's used a 4 inch long, 7/8 inch 13 spline coupling in the drive for their front mounted pumps. I don't know if one of those would match or not.

Hope someone jumps in and says they have one or knows where to get one.

i have some Case EQ. with the same set up i keep a spear on hand . just brake down and buy a new one the coupler is softer then the pump shaft

This is length of my shaft with coupler. I have tried MF dealer but not luck yet.

Is the dealer searching for the coupling you mentioned or the whole shaft? Do you have a part number?

It looks like it might be part number 1081251M91 as that one shows as 17-7/8 inch long in the parts catalog. That number comes up at a couple vendors from doing an on-line search. Just on-line info, no hands on experience with this, verify things before purchase.

The coupler part number is 190496M3. I'm not sure what dealer is looking for. The part number that you have list for the shaft is not showing any picture on the site that I look at. What site can I go to to look at it. Thanks

No photo, it shows in a drawing for a 232 loader used on a 231 tractor in the AGCO parts catalog and the dimension for that part number shaft was shown on the page for a different tractor.

You said you have a 231S FEL. I couldn't get 231 to bring up a loader, just the tractor, thus I looked at the 232 loader, used on some 231's. Like I said you will need to verify before you purchase (when you find a vendor with one).
