Massey Ferguson 90 blowing hydraulic oil

I have a Massey 90 that I have split, put new seals and bearings in the front pump cover, o-rings and the whole 9 yards. However when I run the tractor for an hour it blows hydraulic oil out the starter hole and out from underneath the tractor of the bellhousing area. It seems as it is building to much hydraulic pressure. This is an early model tractor. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is it the eight speed, or dreaded Multi-Power sixteen speed model? Remove the four bolt bottom cover and start it up, and see if you can find the leak. Watch you don't get sprayed in the face..

Since you have the early model 90...when you were in there did you notice....is the relief valve mounted in the lines inside the bell housing? Or is it mounted in
front and above the radiator, on top of the steering cylinder?

I would take it out of there and mount it in front of the rad. I believe Massey found that it would release quicker mounted in there because it was ahead of the filter.
by the rad it is after the filter. I had one here that would have no power steering in the winter. Found that the oil was too thick to go through the filter, so the
relief valve opened, bypassing the front power steering. Relief valve was probably weaker than when it was new.
The problem that you describe, makes me suspect that relief valve. It is strange that you only have a spraying leak after an hour. I am thinking that the relief valve
may be faulty somehow.
If you mount it in front...at least you will be able to see it. You will need to change the two tee fittings to elbows. Only problem with that is you will have to take
off the front transmission cover to unscrew them. I have just blocked off the one T end with a cap, but you will need the Ts in front when mounting. You will also need a
U shaped pipe to mount it in front of the rad. Agco parts books shows what you will need.

The super 90 parts book on Agco parts book. Shows all the pieces and part numbers you need on an exploded diagram.
Would be nice if you were to reply to my replies instead of your original one. Then I get a notice that you have E-mailed me.

I apologize. I m not very computer literate.

I checked the AGCO website and came up with a handful of different books.

Check out the "steering cylinder" Page. On top is the breakdown for the relief valve in front of the rad.

I cannot seem to access the parts books without a login? This is through the Agco website correct?

Found the super 90 in the guest portion of the AGCO Parts books. However, there is no diagram for a relief in that column that is displayed

You should be able to log in as a guest....unless they have changed it? They just totally changed the site....screwed it up in my opinion.
