I just bought a M.F. 65 diesel and as soon as you start the engine the lift arms raise all the way no matter where lever is. When you shut it off they eventually drop but next time it is started they go all the way up and wont drop even when you move lever to drop. Any ideas?

where is the draft control lever? try putting the hydralever down and move the draft control up and down. if that fails the fingers from the pump may be messed up and you'll have to go into the side and reposition them. get a manual to see how to do that.

MF SERVICE MANUAL 1448 811 M1...or a reproduction Copy..

My MF202 did exactly the same thing when I purchased it. I took the right side round inspection cover off and discovered that the linkage was jammed up. I took a big screw driver and gently pried on it and it popped loose. It's been working good ever since.

Thanks for the good advice. I have been around these tractors all my life and it never occured to me to check the draft control levers. They were all the way up so when i moved them down the 3 pt worked perfect. I felt like an idiot. Lol
