MF 255 Diesel tractor oil change

Went to the local AGCO dealer for an oil filter and a fuel filter. This is the 236 Perkins Diesel engine.
The counter guy did not ask which engine I had (236 or 203).
The oil filter that he gave me is much smaller diameter than the existing oil filter. Makes me wonder if either filter is correct as I have not tried either one yet.

AGCO Fuel filter part number V836339371
Have not been able to find anything useful on the online AGCO Parts Book.
Are these filter part numbers correct for my MF 255?

Per the Parts sold on this site the oil filter number you gave is for the 203. I've used both the larger one and the skinny one on a 203 before with no issues. I would try to get the number off of the fuel filter on your tractor and see if it's a match to your Agco number. Hope this helps. Be sure you don't put the top o-ring on the fuel filter IF you end up using a NAPA type filter, it will never keep running after you bleed it. There have been several discussions about this on this site before.

Thanks for your help. Time for another trip to AGCO to get the right stuff. Lost my receipt,so I probably can't return the "wrong" parts.

The others guys are correct. That oil filter you have is for the 203 and has smaller diameter, same one I use on my 165 with 203. The 236 has bigger oil filter on MF 255 and 265. I've used NAPA oil filter #1806 for my 265 with 236.
