Massey 30E steering and transmission

I was using my Massey 30E with loader today moving dirt when the steering quit. The loader still worked fine so I shut it off and checked the hyd level and it was full. I thought the steering ran off hydraulic system but i guess not. Then I checked trans dipstick and it was low so I added 1 1/2-2 gal to fill it up. When I restarted tractor the steering still won't work and it won't move now either. Does the steering run off the same fluid as trans? Also the 3 pt. works fine. Any ideas? Thanks Tom

The power steering pump is on the right hand side of engine below the alternator. If you don't have any external leaks chances are the power steering fluid is leaking into the engine.

Thank you for your reply I'll check it today. Would that make the transmission not work also? I didn't mention that it was a power shuttle shift when I said tractor won't move now Thanks Tom

Checked power steering today. Pump is by alternator like you said but i don't see a way to check fluid. It has a 1" hose going into it like it is hooked into the hydraulic system somehow. There must be 2 separate systems as the loader and 3 pt. work fine and power steering and shuttle shift don't work at all? Thanks again Tom
