More 2 cylinders at work...

Finished planting corn last night, so here's a few shots from the past few weeks featuring 2 cylinder tractors.

The first is of our G. It had been a resident of our shop for about the past 18 months, but I finally got the clutch back together with assistance from some you here on this forum. Some hydraulic pump parts got the Power Trol healthy enough to run the fertilizer auger, and so the G had fertilizer tender duty this season, it it performed well. It looks a little tough, but with gas pistons and manifold, its a force to be reckoned with.

The second photo is from a few days prior, building some fence. Seems the creeper low in Grandpa's A works well for stretching wire.

Looks good. I don't know of any two cylinders still in use in my area. To even see a 4020 on a fertilizer wagon is rare here anymore. Tom

Always good to see old tractors at work. The one neighbor still pulls his 336 baler with his 620 just as he did 45 years ago.

Reminds me of something stupid I did many years ago.
Was tightening a web wire fence with a 49 JD A.
Would get it as tight as I could and hook to the tractor and step on the starter to finish stretching it.
I apparently had the throttle slightly open and it cranked and broke the wire and wrapped me up on the
Seat of the tractor.
DUMB DUMB!

Fertilizer wagons themselves are few and far between! I find the G, 70 or A easier to get on or off than the 4020, so they work well for me.

I'm sure I have a few neighbors that think it's beyond nuts... then again, I'm finished, and they are still planting. Go figure.
