Remove NS switch then remove a sealing washer or 2. Reinstall switch. If switch doesn't make connection thenloosen bolt on shifter arm & tap shifeter arm further on shaft with switch & spring loaded detent removed. Tighten bolt,reinstall pparts that were removed. If that doesn't help then I suggest installing a new NS switch
