Best hydraulic fluid, JD2020

I'm in the middle of pilot bearing/clutch work on my old JD 2020 and have a bunch of hydraulic leaks to fix while I have it apart. I suspect that this thing has had a variety of hydraulic fluids added over the years, so I'm going to flush it out and fill new.. What type fluid works best in these? Anything that would slow/prevent leaks? I've had to rebuild cylinders on my loader twice in the las 3 years.

Use John Deere Hy Gard or a UTHF meeting John Deere's JDM J20C specification. The oil in your transmission is your transmission, differential, wet brake, and hydraulic oil.

As for the leaks, fixing them while you are at it is better than additives.

Hy-Gard X2. There is no magic additive that is any good for the hydraulic system and will stop leaks. What do you call a leak? A few drips in a couple days or you have to add oil at the
rate of a quart a week?

Hi gard actually will help the leaks as much as anything the
cheaper oil seems to leak a lot worse . Top picture Is with
cheap oil second picture Is with hygard all I did was change to
hygard hydraulic oil I had a pretty bad hydraulic leak and the flywheel was flinging it out the timing cover
