4430 fuel lift pump. Can they be rebuilt?

I think my early 4430 is leaking fuel into crankcase. Appears to be about one inch over full.

I assume the problem is the lift pump on the injector pump?

I checked on John Deere's site. My dealer wants $597.99 for the lift pump. Is it possible to rebuild my pump?

We have not used this tractor since 2013. I start it twice a year to just drive it around a little and then park it in the shed. Dad has Parkinson's and is now ready to sell it. Trying to get it ready.

If fuel is getting into engine crankcase then inj pump shaft seal is faulty. Lift pump is driven by IP not engine camshaft.

Jim, you're having a "brain fart", it has a Bosch pump (or clone) so the pump crankcase has engine oil flowing through it, so no shaft seal. NO offense intended!;-)

Could be the O-ring that seals the transfer pump plunger drive pin (12), or one or more O-rings that seal the injection pump plunger barrels, IMHO

OOPS
No offense taken because I welcome to have my mistakes corrected which unfortunately seem to be increasing with my AGE.
Thanks for correcting my mistake.
