Best source for manuals for a JD 4010?

I have recently acquired a JD 4010 from my dad’s estate. Who has the best value operator’s and/or
service manual for the tractor? I have an original operator’s manual from JD; price $2.95, but it is for a
4020. I am thinking there is not much that is in a 4010 manual that would not be in the 4020 manual.
Am I right? Do I need a service manual?

I am not a farmer or a mechanic but I can read instructions.

(quoted from post at 14:56:33 11/23/20) Ebay is a good source especially for original materials.

You can down load the John Deere Operator's Manual for free at the John Deere Ag publications site, the book or CD you have to purchase. When you get to that page there are three 4010 choices, unless you have a 4010 compact you need to pick your model from the last two 4010 choices. The manuals have prices shown for the books and CDs.

4010's and 4020's have many similarities and many differences too. for the relatively few dollars you will need to spend for a 4010 manual (and as Jim points out you can download for free) its well worth it.

I bought a service manual and parts manual originals off ebay on great shape for my 4010 ... $80 ... well worth it ... hold out for originals if you can copies are junk as are the several pdf scans that are easily avail on internet ... they are out of order and missing pages ... good luck
