Early styled b block

I have an early styled b and was wonder if I can bore the block enough for some later
B 90 over pistons. I measured it its roughly about .250 didnt know how much u could bore them early blocks b1783r thanks

I have heard tales of that having been done in the past and it worked out fine. Though you could always run the risk of hitting a thin spot in the block so results can vary.

I just saw the .090 over part. You may have better luck with the Standard bore size which is still a lot of metal to remove.

Rottenground We bore the late B that much. Hit water on 2 of them. Other ones were ok. Look at the back of the block where the cylinders stick into the crankcase. It should have equal amount of metal all around. If thinner on one side it may not work. You can also get late B block. It will bolt up after grinding the ones that have casting plugs in the bottom where it will bolt up. Lynn
