5020 transmission shifter linkage

Ok thanks . My trusty i&t manual doesn?t give anything that I can find about adjusting the linkage other than the nuetral start switch adjustment . Sometimes the brief but terse data leaves something to be desired

You posted that you are going to do a good bit of work on this tractor. I would go to ebay and get a Deere tech book. They tell you so much more than an I&T book and the reprints are not that expensive compared to the time they save you. Good luck with your project as that is the most expensive Deere tractor of that era to work on. I own a 4620 which is the second most expensive. Just start pricing clutch parts if in doubt. I had a 5010 years ago and it was the most disappointing tractor I ever owned. No lug at all but was fun to run when wound out. Tom

I went on eBay no original manuals available right now but all states ag parts has a reprint for 55$ I will get it ordered
