I posted a few questions on here previously asking about putting a 3 point hitch on an M and got a lot of great responses. Several of you have fabricated your own at home. Would anyone be able to give me a bill of materials, drawings, or general description of what you did to get me started in the right direction? Thank you!

Here's the approx dimensions of mine. It was aftermarket from about 50 years ago. Steel was 3/8 thick which I have changed to 1/2 on the drawing I made to build another by for my other M. I'm planning making it two inches longer at the back for a little more seat clearance. The extra two inches are not shown. Hope this helps.

I built one 18 years ago for the M that we had, just shade tree engineered, but it worked great. I also built a 5 foot danish tine cultivator, and it all worked great, unfortunately I have very few pictures of it, and they are at home. If you have the original hitch that would be a good reference, and the dimensions of a 3-point are readily available. As I remember the top-link bracket took some thought.

make sure your top link will clear the seat when fully raised. Our M is long gone but I still have the top link and it is a dog-leg affair so it would clear the seat. The systems in the pictures extend farther out than ours did, so you may not have that problem.

The sections that have the roller eye in them where the implement pins would attach, did you just chop off the end of a standard set of CAT 1 3 point arms and drill holes in them? Why did you decide to drill and bolt them instead of weld them? Otherwise, thank you very much for the information.

No.

These are flat stock with the Cat 1 <a href="https://www.agrisupply.com/lift-arm-ball-sockets-cat-pin-hole/p/12027/">lift arm ball sockets</a> welded on the end.

Take a look at the photo below.

Take a look at the photos below of "Conroy" our 48M.

The CAT 1 lift arms are welded to the drawbar.

There is no adjustment available to attach any of our 3 point implements or equipment to this drawbar.

The removable, pinned CAT 1 lift arms can be easily removed for attaching 3 point implements or equipment.

Hope this helps.
