late 4430 stuck in A range

I have a late model 4430 wish I never seen with trans problems as I have no A range but other gears work fine, now the shifter is stuck in A range and at least I would like to get it put back inside shed before winter hits. Any ideas on how to get it out of A range

Have you tried to move arm(key 11) by hand on side of trans case?

I have seen the "A" range gear shear right where the shift collar meets the large part of the gear, there is a big bushing in that gear so the broken collar stays in place, just nothing happens when you ask for that gear,,some thing must have progressed in that area..

I saw one once that partially broke the collar on the 'A' range gear and wouldn't let the collar move.

Probably time to pull the trans cover and see what the hold up is in there.

Thanks I did get the shifter to move with a large cresent wrench but little force so I am good to go again
