John Deere 219 Diesel oil pump

I am doing a complete rebuild on a 219 for
my 2520. I am looking for info on the oil
pump tube that goes into the block below the
oil filter. The tube has a o ring seal where
it comes out of the pump but does not have
anything to seal it where it goes into the
block. There is a o ring in the parts book
but it is way to big and there is no groove
in the block for it. I cannot get a answer
from 2 different john deere dealers if it is
correct to put together without a seal of
any kind on the pump tube. Any help would be
great thanks

Is this the part number for the o-ring that you're referring to??

R75892 is the o ring one I am trying to
figure out. It is actually square on the
outside diameter and round on the inside

Deere parts is nice enough to give you the standard o-ring size if it's a standard one and it appears it is, 016 is a standard o-ring size.
I see a lot of round o-rings take a squareish set after time and heat hardens them up

There was not one to start with why do you want one now. The oring should have been in OH kit
