JD 820 clutch

Should the clutch lever be moved forward or pulled back to engage the clutch on this model? Can those independent brake pedals be linked or do they only work independently? Ive got a none runner and dont as yet have a operators manual.

Clutch lever forward, the pulley turns and if you're in gear, you go.

Clutch lever back, the pulley stops, and you stop.

The brakes are independent, if you need to hit both, you'll have to stretch out haha

Pull back to disengage the clutch.

There's NO way to link between the brake pedals.

I was thinking that too but yet he is trying to link the brake pedals together ?

Thanks for the updates, really useful as Im a novice with this model. Tractor is a 58 Black Dash 820 two cylinder diesel. Tractor has sat for several years so some controls etc are stuck but engine turns over. I think I need to look at the pup engine first and see if I can get any life back into it, alternatively I guess I could try a tow start.
