4630 headlights

I have a really dumb question about the headlights on my 4630. to remove them do you just pull the rubber Bezel off of the sealed beam or is there some other way? My Bezels are severely cracked due to dry rot and should be replaced. Is it necessary to keep the glare guards on them? Also the reason I am changing them is they appear to be rather dim and I wonder if they are the old original sealed beams and I would like to swap them all out for new halogens.

If and when you replace the bezels there are 2 different styles Grott and Hobbs,,and it's tuff to tell the difference,,but they are different,, and the shield or deflector helps keep the glare of the windows...and make sure your cab is grounded good, a poor ground makes for dim lights..

I think the suppliers were Hobbs and Guide.
The bezels had the name molded on them didn't they?
Seems one had tabs that matched holes in the shell and the other slipped over a flared shell??

Looks like your bezel is no longer available.
Subs RE25126 RH $60.71 and RE25127 LH $60.71
These are all plastic that bulbs pop into...
No separate rubber bezel and no rust.
These are complete with dual beam bulbs.
Not halogen I don't think.

try the hid lights, just remount 1 on each fender or you may be able to get the replacement bulbs,10 times more light when plowing at night youll be glad you did
