Having trouble filling 720lp tank..

I have a 720lp tractor and I have always carried it to be filled at the Lp store. This year I had them install me a liquid filling line and connectors to fill myself. Great idea! I decided to fill it the other day and found myself puzzled ... I connected the coupler they supplied and turned the valve open and cracked the liquid level valve on top but to find that nothing was happening... I took the connector off and briefly opened it up and it had plenty of pressure and Lp coming out. Looking at the coupler I cannot see how it could open the internal valve seat when screwed on? Unless I am missing something is there supposed to be something else to go on valve to let Lp in? Look at my valve pick.

First of all you needed to make sure your tank that you fill from has a liquid down tube in it.Second of all you need a vapor relief connect to let presure off.I would ask your lp dealer to give you a leason one time . than you should have no problem. That small valve on top of tank lets you know when its 80% full and than you need to stop.Get your dealer to show you how its done. He is the ONLY one who should show you how to do this.

I believe I have a fitting to screw on the vapor return fitting. It was with the tractor but the guy did not say anything about that. I think that might be the issue. I wil take a pic of the fitting and send to yall to look at. I need to become a pro since I have now a 720lp, 530lp, 430t Lp , and a 430w Lp

Thanks!

Is your fill line hooked to a liquid draw on your nurse tank? You need to fill from the liquid side. If you are filling liquid, then the fill connection valve will open on its own once the pressure is greater in the fill line than in the tractors tank. My fill procedure involves 2 lines. One is the liquid line attached to the larger tank fill valve. Then I have a smaller vent line that attaches to the smaller vapor hookup on the tractor tank. Then open your liquid line and open the valve on the vapor line to vent vapor out of the tractor tank. As you vent vapor out of the tractors tank, the pressure in the tank will drop, allowing the pressure in the nurse tank to push liquid LP from the nurse tank to the tractors fuel tank.
