OT Little over 25 Yrs ago

Ok fellow YT'rs this may get a little long. Just as the title
says. A little over 25 yrs ago my youngest brother had a
heart transplant Childrens Hosp in Denver,CO at the young
age of ten. Born with holes in his heart. My folks were back
and forth from western Nebraska to make trips to Colorado
since birth. Knowbody ever thought that he'd make it
through the night several times. When he went in for the
translant my folks and family came to show their support.
Well, through the last 25 yrs, hes graduated high school,went
to college, held a few jobs, got married, hired on as a BNSF
conductor, passed their Locomotive Engineer program in
KC,KS had a few rejections from the donor heart that we
andhis wife got through in the last ten yrs. Now, hes been in
Denver,CO for the last couple months waiting for ANOTHER
heart transplant. Lastnight, 12-18-2014 HE CALLED ME and
said they (doctors) had found ANOTHER HEART !!!!!!!!!! My
wife and family are estatic, going crazy, and waiting all day
for the doctors to get him ready for this AGAIN !!! Whats the
chances of one person to EVER have a double heart
transplant ?????? I have no idea, but someone is on HIS
SIDE, been at the hospital since 10:30 am or so today on 12-
19-2014 waiting for him to be wheeled to the well lite back
room surrounded by well educated group of people. THANK-
YOU for giving my brother another chance at life to be with
his wife,brothers,mom,dad and many other family members
for, we HOPE for many years to come. Now, fellow ytr's.
Thisis the GREATEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER !!!!!!!
Still needs some prayers here as hes getting ready to get
wheeled back to the op room for the new a ENGINE. I am
writing this to pass time. Well, A LOT OF time as the
transplant can take up to eight to ten hours of surgery. Just
to keep it tractor related. Hes farmed with a few. Anyways,
gotta run. Need some prayers please to help him and us
through this happy time. Thanks everyone.

To add to what i had forgotten, in his younger life growing up he has had two chuntes, three pace-makers, four open heart surgeries. So hes gone through heck and back and hes STILL HERE !!! YA YA YA YA YA YA !!!! Merry Christmas and EVERYOME have a safe and happy holidays. Thank-You !!!!!

8-10 hours in surgery, WOW!!,...you could overhaul a two-cylinder John Deere in that amount of time! Too bad the hospital doesn't have a big boy play room with a two-cylinder you could tear down and put back together, it'd certainly help pass the time and take your mind off his procedure. My father in law was in for some surgery recently and I know how boring that waiting gets.

Prayer for your brother said and sent, may the surgery be successful, the recovery normal, and this new heart last at least as long as the first donor one did.

Well fellow ytr's. Good news. My brother made it through the surgery with flying colors !!!!! NINE HOUR surgery. Im excited to see him. Even tho he will be havin sweet dreams. I can see him soon. Thanks for the support EVERYONE !!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND HAPPY NEW YEARS !!!!
