Ford 4000 - What is this thing?

So, I acquired this tractor. Got a good deal, but it's had an interesting life, the more I look at it.

First, the codes. It appears to be D1414C, then 4a20b. Which squares with the 4000 tinwork, the 3cyl diesel, the double reduction rear axles, etc. But the code doesn't match the manual or online postings, and the power steering system looks like that of a 3000.
Is it a 4000SU?

Now, whats up with this axle? Is it cut and welded? It is not swept back or adjustable, so is it from a 3400? I think it may have been cut and welded to level the tractor out, since they put these tiny turf tires on the rear.

So is it a 4000 SU with a 3400 axle swap? Or some ford setup from the factory with a heavy axle?

What power steering pump rebuild kit do I need?
Anything to know about this loader attachment?

What is the rear wheel bolt pattern?

I included some pictures.

Thank you for any information you can provide!

Model D1414C
D14 = 4000 Special Utility (SU)
1 = diesel engine
4 = independent 540 pto
C = 8x2 manual transmission
Build date 4A20B
4 = 1974
A = January
20 = day of the month
B = Day shift
Your tractor is a 4000SU built Jan 20 1974 on day shift
Special Utility models used the 3000 style front axle and steering along with shorter 28 inch rear tires

The front axle looks to be a modified 3400 axle with the spindle knees moved up to make the tractor level with the rear tires that appear to be from a Low Center of Gravity Model
I've never seen a LCG model with the larger 4000 rear axle and it's larger rear wheel bolt pattern
The 4110 LCG was simply a lowered 3000 chassis with the larger 4000 engine

In my opinion the 3400 axle was added to make the tractor better for loader use, but I don't know why they went to all that work to lower it

Thank you

The rear wheels definitely have the 8 lug pattern. They barely fit inside the drop well of those tires! I think you can just see the bulge for the reduction gearing on the back axles in the pic with my kid
sitting on it... I don't think it was a LCG version, they just put those tiny tires on for some reason.

Ok, so when looking for parts:
Anything related to the front axle, drag links, power steering cyls, hubs, etc are all for a Ford 3400
Everything else I can treat like a 4000 SU.

What about the loader? is that a 735? how do I tell?

Thanks!

I'd have to look at my brothers 3400 but I think the spindle drops are shorter
The radius rod has been extended and not sure about the drag links
3400 steering cylinders have a 5/8 inch rod verses a 3000's 1/2 inch

Are you sure the first 3 characters aren't D41 instead of D14? That would make it a 4410, which is the "Woods" chassis model in the 4000 series. That model uses the same front axle design as the 3400.

I came across a Ford tractor in a parking ramp at a university in St Paul some years ago. It was badged as an SU but had that 3400 front axle. Was a univ tractor, they just stored it in the ramp. It had about 800? lbs of bumper weights, railroad rails, suitcase weights, etc hung on the front end.
I don't know what they used it for. Had cat II 3 point lift arms.
Of course I had to go and inspect it. Was on our way to see a show with a gal I was seeing at the time.
She got a little impatient with me. Oops.
I wondered if it was a special order machine.
Blue paint on the tin and SU decals all looked original. A 4410 was a utility model and should have had Buff/Blue paint scheme.

I confirmed that it's D1414C... it has a stamped oil pan, and I can see where the cast iron pan would have connected to the bolster. So, I'm largely satisfied I know what I've got now.

Now I just need to fix the list of issues!
-Power steering
-leaking fuel line
-fluid replacement
-Rear tire replacement
-Air filters
... and on and on!
