New starter for the 7600

I had ordered a gear-reduction starter from YT for my 7600, (about a month ago) but they emailed me, saying they were out of stock, with no date for expected availability. So, when I was at CarQuest to get a new battery for it, I also ordered a starter for a 7740. $287, with freight. Put it in today... I have NEVER heard a 256 crank so FAST! Worth looking at, if you're thinking about upgrading your starter.

The Bosch starter for a 7740 is a little longer and has more cranking power, put one on my 6610 last year, starts a lot better than before on cold days.
They won't fit on the 3 cylinder models, to long causing the front of the starter to hit the injection pump.

That's why it's on the 6610 instead of my 4000 that the starter went bad on, 6610 starter is now on the 4000.

Still got a 5000 and a 7840. Had a 7700 that we put a 7710 motor in after it dropped a valve. The 7840 starts easily hot cold whatever. The 5 needs a good battery. It is interesting how things improve. Great how Ford used standard designs so parts fit all different models. World tractor was a definite winner and such simple concept.
