Removing Wagner Loader from TO-30

That's the first project, remove the loader to allow access for engine work, and clutch replacement this winter.

What is the best method to remove loader. Should I construct a gantry or such to lift the whole contraption from tractor, or can it be jacked up just enough to drive out from under it?

There is a loop centered on one of the cross members above the hood that looks to be for lifting it from frame of tractor by a chain-fall. Is this correct?

I have seen photos of this loader removed from tractor sitting-balancing on blocking. Would blocking method be stable enough to sit out side all winter without keeling over?

Looks like this one , and this one free of tractor.

I just took a Wagner off of a TO30 I got at auction. Once I got it unbolted and the fenders removed, no small feat, I blocked up the front of the loader and used the loader on my small Mahindra to lift it from the rear. Problem was I could not just back the tractor out, the frame was wider than the tires. I had to pull it up at an angle to clear the tires then pull the tractor out from under it, I wasn't getting on the tractor with the loader dangling overhead. Pulled it away with my JD garden tractor. Set the rear of the loader on some small blocks. I'm not intending to put it back on so it is sitting close to the ground, no danger of it falling over.

W_B I measured between wheels and looks like I can unbolt the rigging, suspend it with a sky hook, and drive out from under it.

Best method, based on my experience, is remove bucket, then drive under a shed with good rafter or large tree limb and hook chain fall
to loop you mentioned. Unbolt from axles and unhook pump, lift slightly and back out. Then drop loader back to blocks to store it.
Lifting at the loop will not pick it up fully balanced back to front, but rather it will tip some, but not enough to be much problem.
