TE 20 - gearbox issue

I have a little grey fergie. I cannot select any forward gears. They worked up until recently.
I have taken off the gear lever and tried to move the forward selectors but they will not move from central neutral position. It feels like something is obstructing them. Any advice would be welcome, thanks
Both the starter and reverse gears work fine

Clutch free play is how much? 3/8"?
If you pulled the shift cover off, were all the shift rails centered? Or was more than one slid off from the center position?
Jack up rear of tractor and take the load off the gear box completely. Now try to shift it.
Well if reverse works, you can back up to where it all began. . . .

Thanks , I will give this a go and let you know. Yes, I was having to go everywhere in reverse yesterday!

are rails dry?was reverse the last gear u left it in?can u shift out of reverse into neutral?transmission/rearend oil milky?
