I got a small leak somewhere in the radiator...can't tell where. Besides getting it recored, I was thinking about using some Stop Leak from Bars. I used it on my truck years ago and it worked well and stopped the leak. What do you guys think?

mine had a small leak at the top and the side's were starting to separate. Took it to a local radiator shop and he redid the thing for me for $128.
I was a bit taken back by the price but he did a really nice job. And the old radiators, if they can be fixed, are way better than the new aftermarket ones.
(Or so I'm told by the radiator repairman)
I thought about the stop leak thing and it sure would have been cheaper but now I know I've got a good strong radiator.

This is what Bars Leaks does to the inside of your radiator !

If you have an old radiator cap and can be bothered try this trick of mine .
Drill a hole in the top of the cap big enough to force a tubeless tyre valve stem into it far enough to seal reasonably well and still allow the cap to close . Then just do as the radiator guys do and use a small bike or hand pump to put a few psi into it .
Once the leak is located you can either solder it or crimp off that particular tube completely.
