They already answered your query in the previous post. it will be on the opposite side of where it was if you had a positive ground till now.

For some reason I can't find my previous post. This is why I posted question again.
 
If I remember right it hooks to the right side as your looking at the face of the gauge and all other wires to the left post again as your looking at the face of it
 
Cannot say 100 percent forsure but I think it will be labeled
with (-) or negative. And all others wires to the gauge will
be on the same terminal with the exception of the wire going
to the positive battery terminal. That wire will go on the positive terminal
of the gauge and will come from the
starter switch terminal where the positive battery cable mounts. As
has been said if it works backwards swap the wires from
side to side. What brand of alternator are you using, where
did you get it? Must be having a bad computer day if you

You no doubt have negative ground system now with an alternator.
The positive side of ammeter will connect to positive + feed
from battery and the charging wire from alternator will connect
to negative - terminal on ammeter. Also, ignition, lights etc
will also connect to negative - side of ammeter.
