lift stuck

hello,Went out to do some bushhogging today and my 3 point lift would not go up or down.Where do i start and find out what is wrong with it?Thanks in advance,

Ther is no way to begin assisting you without knowing the model and year of the tractor. Jim

At least the manufacturer or brand along with the model would be most helpful. Not sure that the year is critical but would be helpful. I guess what I am saying more directly, to get a good start on figuring out you problem these two items are imperative, you dont have to wait to find the serial number etc to find the year of manufacture, post the other info right away if you know it. ..my apologies Jim..
