Farmaal H carb question

From what I have read online this looks to be a distillate carb. One of the jet screws is turned in all the way and the one on the bottom is leaking. This is a gas tractor with a gas head. It was born a distillate tractor. Should I look for a new carb or rebuild this one? Can it be converted to gas?

what makes u think u need a different carb? those tractors run on gas till warmed up then switched to distillate once hot. that screw on the
bottom is the main jet and if it was turned in all the way you would not even start the tractor.

The one on the side is turned all the way in. The shop manual says it's the idle air. Just trying to get clarification on the difference between the 45801 and the 50981.

There is gas leaking out the main jet so either the float is way out of adjustment/stuck or something else.

On the main jet how tight is the hex nut the needle screws in? See if it will turn in a quarter turn or so without a
lot of force like use the box end of a regular combination wrench with one hand. This will tighten the seal
packing around the needle possibly stopping the leak. Are you sure it is not coming off the bottom of the round
bump right behind it?

Turn the bottom main set screw 2 1/2 turns out. Turn the top one 3/4 turn
out and u will be very close on your settings. From the seated position on
both screws. And once you have the bottom main set then snug up the
packing.

Packing was loose on main jet. Was about 2 turns. Set it to 2.5. The idle screw was a half a turn. Set it to 3/4.
