Farmall B pneumatic lift parts

I guess Il get some leather and do some experimenting. I also have to find or make the pressure valve sitting on the manifold. I havent seen a good diagram, but think it must be a butterfly valve of some sort, to divert the exhaust to the other valve.

Have heard of people using old boot leather for the drum seal, the valve on the manifold is some kind
of butterfly valve, which I am still looking for one myself, hard to find any more, even harder with
tractor shows where parts dealers go being canceled. :>(

If I knew how the internal parts on the pressure valve worked, I might try to make one. My son has a small metal shop. The parts catalog shows the pieces, but not enough detail to make a plan.

If no one else has information on this I do have the valve assembly off my BN tht I could try to get some pictures of.

had to remove it due to low tree branch snagging muffler and breaking one half of the castings. Would need to dig through some stuff out in the barn to find the parts.

Seem to recall that there are two main parts involved. The valve on the manifold that blocks the exhust access to the muffler and sends it to the cylinder and also a check valve that lets the exhaust go to the cylinder and blocks it from coming back until the control lever is put into "float"!

Back in the mid to last 1070's when I first got this BN the leather for the piston was still available from the local IH dealer!

Sorry about the typos's, guess I should have not put the shot of Rum in morning coffee!

Last sentance should have been:

I would love to have any pics, sketches etc you can provide. I would even buy the parts if you wanted to part with. I just cant let go of the idea of a functional pneumatic lift!! PM me, [email protected].
