WOW first i have heard about this . BUT no surprise . Any of ya tried getting parts for the old load stars and S models . Don't go looking for a fuel pump for a 404 -446 V 8 the ones they say will work WON"T the arm will not even come close to the cam eccentric Oh you need a ING module , ain't happening the ones that are out there are JUNK and will not work out of the box . SOOoooooo if ya want one of them old trucks then find the ones with the DIESEL engine that is still mechanical pump. And Oh the carb kits Haw here again do not waist your money our time .

Near as I can tell, there wasn't much left.
If the Germans think they can turn it around, more power to 'em.
Had it continued under American management, I doubt they'd last another decade. Maybe less. All American investors and execs are concerned about right now is putting as much money in their bank accounts as possible, even if it means running the business into the ground.
I've been "sold" a couple times myself. One day the big boss/primary stakeholder is up on the stage telling us how he is committed to the company and within a week, he's up there announcing that it's been sold. He walks away with 9 figures in his pocket, goes and starts another company, and does it AGAIN with that company.
