Trying to remove the rear axle in the W6. Took out the bolt and washer from the bull gear and the outside bearing retainer .Can't get the bull gear to move . Or the axle to come out. I made a tool to try to push the axle out but no luck. Am I missing something?

Using the bolt as a pusher, put a spacer between the bolt head opposite and the bolt screwed back in most of the way. Jim

If you are trying to remove just the axel the inner bearing might be the issue. That bearing is tight on the axel.
Why are you pulling the axel?

you don't need to remove housing to replace bearings
remove pto , take inside bolt out of axle , take 4 outside bolts out of housing that contains seal and put hydraulic jack between hub and rearend housing and push it out.
