Just picked up another farmall this one is a 140 serial number reads 45282 J K K from what I have found it should be a 1971 or so 45282 but what dose the J K K stand for or mean?

I believe that the J means it has a Rockford clutch. I believe the KK means that fourth gear in the transmission is a different gear from the regular
140?s. It gives the tractor a faster road gear ( 4th gear).

Welcome! My understanding is there were 2 different clutches available on the 140. The serial plate provides the clutch information so you can be sure to have the proper clutch on hand before doing a rear split.

Thanks I thought it seemed geared higher, would this make it a little bit harder to shift dose not shift gears as smoothly as my Super A

That may be a blessing in disguise. Early last year our 140 slipped out of gear and ran away into a tree.
I ended up replacing the radiator, hoses, generator, and the steering box keys. Of course, we straightened out the sheet metal as best as we could.

The front bumper was removed due to the front grader blade we had on over the winter. Here are a couple of "after"pics.

You did a nice job with the repair, love the dog, I am afraid this tractor bug has bitten me, work on them in my dreams, and get nothing done.
