I would like to have input about Tisco parts sold at tractor supply. I am particularly interested in electrical such as switches and guages. How do they hold up, I can't find out where they are made and hear complaints about Chinese manufacturers.

You can get part from this web site go to top and click on parts. A&I and Tisco are common from parts house.
Most electrical part come from Mexico these days.

I bought a tisco carb kit, the seat of the needle/seat wasn't machined right at all/ took it back to Farm/Fleet and got another, needle wouldn't go into the seat on this one/ got my money back and bought one at O Rileys that worked good. The push button starter switches are cheap junk too.

Most all of it is made in China these days, and it's pretty much your only choice. You can get it from different sources but it all comes off the same assembly line. If you can wait you can usually get it about 1/2 price off Ebay, shipped to your door for free.

You can tell the stuff doesn't have the heft or feel of parts of the days of yore, but generally they are usable and better than nothing at all.

Tisco did have some issues with the needle and seats several years ago. I bought several carb kits with the defective parts. I contacted Tisco. I was not the first to do so, and they were aware of the problem. They sent me a box full of replacement needles and seats and they were ALL good.

I bought from Dennis Carpenter a fuel gauge, sending unit, and
temp gauge. All parts were stamped "Made in Taiwan".

Could not get the fuel gauge to work. They sent me another one.
It would not work either. They sent me a new sending unit. Still
nothing. Send me another gauge. No good. I send all the gauges
back to DC for testing. All gauges failed the test. DC then
tested two gauges from their inventory. They failed. I then got
a call from DC informing me all gauges failed the test and they
would have to find a new suppliers. About three weeks later they
sent me new gauges that worked. I feel Dennis Carpenter should
have reimbursed me for all the freight sending back his
defective parts. I spend close to $40 mailing all his crap back.

It also took two temp gauges to get one that kinda works. I'll
never buy gauges from Dennis Carpenter again!
