560 valve seals

Went ahead and put a new set of valve
seals on my problem cylinder this
weekend, the intake valve seal i took
off was just like the exhaust seals,
the ones i got from the dealer are
different, also set the valves at the
proper 0.27 gap and a new set of 3116
autolites..

So in the picture which is which? If the picture that shows only one is the new one, I refer to that as an "umbrella" seal. The one on the left of the picture of two is a more positive sealing type or at least would have been when new. It may have required machining the top of the guide for proper fit. The umbrella seal will work. Can't remember your original post or what your issue is but it is more likely cylinder scoring or worn rings if your plug is fouling.

The seal by itself is the one i pulled off it, the bottom seal in my hand is what the IH dealer gave me for an intake seal, its what is in the package of seals, the umbrella seal is what is used on the exhaust valves..
Compression check with plugs removed and a decent charge on the battery, air cleaner still hooked up, throttle wide open, no oil in holes
All 6 were 125psi +- 4-5 psi

#5 is fouling plugs terrible from oil, i'd think if it was rings my compression would be a lot lower, not always, I know...
Valve seals are a lot easier than a inframe OH or ring job, cheaper too..

If it is fouling that bad I would image the valve guide(s) is shot on that cylinder, because even when seals aren't used with good guides, they don't cause terrible fouling.

Im wondering that myself, I did a
wiggle check with my fingers but no
hard meassurement, the head was
supposedly redone, and i think it
probably was, as clean as it is and the
paint on it, but i got an issue
somewhere..
Granddad had a 1964 706 gas, that thing
just plum run without a second
though,no high test gas and it never
saw a jug of low ash oil, like to get
this 560 there
