Stage 2

What is a stage 2 h - m -? I have been around a lot of red equipment and I don't think I have ever heard of that.

Stages is how IH rolled out the supper series of H and M's. Stage 1 was more horse power, stage 2 was live hydraulics, stage 3 was a TA and stage 4 was 300/400 series.

Super M for example. A stage 1 is basically
a farmall m with a c264 engine instead of
the c248. And factory disc brakes. Battery
under fuel tank and belly pump hydraulics. A
stage 2 would be the same tractor except the
battery was moved under the seat and where
the battery would norally sit under tank was
replaced with the resiviour for the optional
factory live hydraulics. Stage 3 would be a
super mta. This staging system applies to
gas diesel and lp super m series. The super
h series was the same just didn't offer
diesel or lp and stage3 (no ta or lpto).
